The Downunder Horsemanship Ranch in Stephenville, Texas is changing hands. Clinton initially offered the iconic facility for sale in 2018 when he made the decision to switch his career focus to training and showing performance horses.

This winter, he teamed up with Bell & Bradford, LLC to sell the ranch. The property was divided into six lots with the decision to hold a public auction in the spring. The auction was initially scheduled to take place in April, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic it had to be rescheduled for September 26th.

Prior to the public auction, Bell & Bradford, LLC procured owners for three of the lots, which included pastures, open land with dirt trails, and the main house and old performance horse barn. If you’ve been to the ranch, these sections are what were known as the private side and where horses would be trained on the dirt paths and up and down the creek. What was referred to as the clinic side, where the covered arena, office building, new performance horse barn, obstacle course and clinic runs sit, was the only remaining section left for sale. It was divided into three separate lots – the front pastures made up two lots and the rest of the facility made up the third.

On Saturday, all three of the remaining lots sold for $2,226,000 to a Stephenville business owner. Thanks to the outstanding work by Don Bell and Milt Bradford, Clinton was able to sell the entire facility for over $4,000,000.

Clinton will remain training his horses out of the Texas ranch until mid-December when he’ll move his operation to the new Downunder Horsemanship Ranch in Farmington, Arkansas. Construction of the new ranch started this summer and is on track to be completed in a couple of months.

“Saturday was a bittersweet day. We’ve had thousands of horses come through those ranch gates and have helped just as many people become better horsemen here. The ranch certainly played a key role in my career and was a milestone destination for many Downunder Horsemanship fans. I’m proud of what we built and how much it meant to everyone,” Clinton says. “Selling the facility was my last step in making the transition to my new career focus. I’m looking forward to moving to Arkansas, chasing down my dreams and making new memories with everyone. I truly appreciate all of the support I’ve received since starting this transition. It means the world to me.”
