Find it on the No Worries Club: Speeding Up a Lazy Horse

NWCfind

“I have trouble keeping my lazy horse’s speed up. I’ve worked him to the advanced level, and he is very responsive and quite light. He won’t break gait, but he will slow down. I end up with a jog when I want trotting, and I end up with a sloppy lope when I want a canter. I nag and drive too much to keep the speed. How do I correct this when I’m meant to wait for him to commit to the mistake and break gait?” – Julia77
