No Trailing Troubles for Jacksonville Walkabout Tour Horse

By Bonnie Calhoun

I was so grateful to have my 2-year-old colt Dillon chosen as a demo horse for the Jacksonville tour.  I was having a lot of problems getting him loaded into the trailer. I would send him up to it, but he would stop short of going in. When we were headed to Jacksonville, it took us about an hour to get him loaded (with feed). Otherwise, we would not have gotten him loaded. Dillon did great and responded well during the demo. After we got home, we worked every day for a solid week, continuing with the exercises that Clinton and Jeff worked with him on. Yesterday, Thursday, May 24th, he loaded when I took him out of the pasture and walked up to the trailer with no schooling ahead of time. I was quite proud of him and will continue on with the Method as I know that it works. Thank you Clinton, Jeff and Kristin for all of your help and guidance.

Watch a short clip of Dillion loading confidently in the trailer at home here.
